The Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra has a rich history of bringing together students, community and professional musicians to present top-notch live symphonic music to the region. The LCSO has brought extraordinary guest artists to Las Cruces including: international recording artist Lynn Harrell, cellist; Van Claiburn Gold Medalist Jon Nakamatsu, piano; and Metropolitan Opera artist Angela Brown, mezzo-soprano. The LCSA has also been a champion of new music, commissioning 9 new orchestral works in the last 10 years. The most recent being the Mountain Premiere of Christopher Theofanidis’ new work, Dreamtime Ancestors, during the 2015-16 Season’s Classics Two concerts. Offerings each season include six Classics Concerts, an outdoor POPS concert, and a January indoor POPS concert.

The Atkinson Recital Hall, in the Music building on the campus of NMSU, is an intimate, 514 seat concert hall, providing fantastic acoustics. There isn’t a “bad” seat in the house! Ticket prices range from $35-$45 per concert. Performances for all Classics and the January POPS concert are Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Prime seats are still available in both the balcony and main floor areas. Call the Symphony office at 575-646-3709 to purchase your season ticket subscription.

Sincerely,
The Las Cruces Symphony Association
